Dentists

Dr. Harold Bobier  (Dentist)

I graduated from the University of Western Ontario Dental School in 1999. Prior to that I completed a Masters of Science degree in pharmacology and a Bachelor of Science with Honours degree in life sciences at Queen’s University. In my graduating year I won the Hatton award for my research in bone regeneration.

Following graduation, my wife Dr. Jolieann Joseph and I moved to my hometown of Ottawa. I immediately joined Dr. Lister at the Manotick Dental Clinic.

With the addition of Dr. Joseph in July 2000, we formed Bridge Street Dental Associates within the Manotick Dental Clinic.

My background in basic science research and my belief in lifelong learning have lead me to greatly value the importance of continuing education. I thoroughly enjoy the relationships I have developed and value the skills I have learned through this pursuit. I have completed courses at several prestigious training centres including The Pankey Institute, Millenium Esthetics, The Hands On Training Institute, the Centre for Advanced Dental Education, and CEREC Doctors at the Spear Institute in Scottsdale, AZ.

My goal as a dentist is to provide quality family dentistry while developing long lasting relationships of mutual respect and caring. I enjoy pursuing that goal surrounded by a pleasant and skilled team.

Away from the office I enjoy spending time with my wife and three young kids. I also enjoy honing my skills as a sports encyclopedia. I am an avid, yet marginally skilled hockey player and runner.

Dr. Jolieann Joseph  (Dentist)

I graduated from the University of Western Ontario dental school in 1999.  Prior to that I received the gold medal for Honours BSc. Biology at UWO in 1995.

I met my husband Harold Bobier in dental school and we moved to the Ottawa area shortly after graduation.  I worked in a public health clinic for a year before joining Harold in July 2000.  It was at this time that we formed Bridge Street Dental Associates at the Manotick Dental Clinic alongside Dr. Bruce Lister.

Continuing education is a very important part of my practice and I strive to keep up with the latest technical advancements and procedures.  I am a member of both the Ontario Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association.  Most recently I have taken courses with the Centre for Advanced Dental Education, the Toronto Implant Institute, Millennium Aesthetics, and CEREC Doctors at the Spear Institute in Scottsdale, AZ.

Most of my spare time is spent with Harold and our three young children but I love to read when the opportunity arises!

We are very fortunate to work with a very caring and skilled group of dental assistants, hygienists and administrative staff.  It is a pleasure to work together with them to provide pleasant and comprehensive dental care for our patients.

I look forward to working with you and your family, and helping to keep your smiles healthy and happy for years to come.
