Administrative Staff

I have been working with Dr Bobier & Dr Joseph since May 2000. I enjoy working with dental technology, which includes digital radiography, photography and CEREC. I have taken aesthetic courses specializing in custom stain and glazing crowns. I love working with our "little" patients, and providing them with a positive dental experience.

Recently, I’ve become the office manager, broadening my knowledge in an administrative role. Working with a great team makes coming to work a pleasure!
After hours, I spend my time with family and friends. We have 2 kids, both enjoy many extra curricular activities keeping us busy!

While in high school, I worked part-time in a dental laboratory where I was attracted to dentistry for the opportunity to truly help people and create beautiful, healthy smiles. Following high school, I graduated from Chairside Dental Assisting in 1991. I worked as a Chairside Assistant in an orthodontic practice until the Orthodontist retired. I was then fortunate to be given a wonderful opportunity to work at the Manotick Dental Clinic as an Administrative Assistant.

Working with the patients at reception is really a rewarding experience, a change that I have enjoyed immensely. I am happy to say that I still love what I do every single day. It is a joy to come to work and be a part of such a committed, hardworking team. I take pride in being part of a clinic that is very progressive, up to date on the latest techniques and technologies and dedicated to continuing education for all staff members.

In my spare time I enjoy travelling, spending quality time with family and friends, attending concerts and watching baseball - Go Jays Go!!

I am proud to say, I have been in the dental field for 32 years. I graduated from level 1 Chairside Assisting in 1986. Ten years later, I broadened my experience to include Administrative Assistant duties. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, and exceeding the needs of our patients. I have been working for 15 years with Dr. Bobier, Dr.Joseph and Dr. Young. I am very fortunate to be part of this family oriented dental team.

I have been blessed with three beautiful daughters who are my world. Gardening and spending quality time with family and friends is my way of relaxing.

I’ve been working in the dental field for 20 years. As well as being a dental receptionist for the office, I am also a Certified Level II Dental Assistant. I love meeting new people and getting to know our patients. I hope to make every visit to our office a great experience!

The administration area of Dentistry has been my main focus for the last twenty-six years of my career. Dental technology and methods have evolved tremendously at the practice and it is very important to me to keep myself knowledgeable, trained and up to date with all facets of dentistry. Bridge Street Dental Associates has grown throughout the years and I have enjoyed working with the team. My main purpose and interest has been and always will be our clients. Helping and understanding our clients’ dental needs has made my job exciting, unpredictable and fulfilling. My husband and I have two grown children and a large extended family. I enjoy baking, gardening, walking, golfing and reading. We have always lived locally and I enjoy seeing old friends and making new ones as they come into the office.

My name is Lorna Engel and I joined the Manotick Dental team in Spring of 2018.
I have many years experience as a dental receptionist along with other positions in the dental area.
I am a down to earth kind of gal that loves the beauty of Nature, the environment, wildlife, flora & fauna & all domesticated pets & animals.
I like to take life slow and to stop & smell the roses as I walk around the lovely Manotick area.
